It is for reason such as storyline and some specific game play, but othet than that Halo 2 beats Halo by mulitplayer, weapons, and some gameplay.

In some aspects, such as difficulty and challenge, Halo is the better game, thats why I pick Halo over Halo 2, is for single player.
